Holy is the Lord is now out in stores!

Updated: Nov 5, 2019

The release for my single, Holy is the Lord was yesterday, November 1st, and it was a joyous feeling to start to get some of my music out to the world!

You can find a direct link to the song on spotify here.

I wrote "Holy is the Lord" in August of 2019 as a song to the world to remind everyone that no matter what trials we may face or hardships we encounter in this life, the Lord our God is Holy, and we are His work being refined in the fire of life.

The Holy Bible in James 1 says that God doesn't tempt us, nor is He tempted by anyone, but we are drawn away by our own desires and are enticed, to which the fruit of it is sin and death in our lives. That is not the result of our Holy Lord, that is the result of our own earthly desires having control of ourselves and opening the doorway to the god of this world and the inhabitants thereof.

God does make the best out of any situation that we mess up though, hallelujah!!

He makes all things work for the good of those who love Him, who are the called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28)

And so it is a process of sanctification into His image in heart mind and soul, until through the trials of this world that we bring upon ourselves leads us into a desire for the knowledge of the Lord in all our ways and to want, and think and feel about things like our Holy Father in Heaven does and has revealed to us in His Word.

Jesus told us in John 14 that He would not leave us as orphans in the world, alone, but would send the comforter, or paraclete in Greek. Check out this explanation of paraclete from gotquestions.org:

"The Greek word translated “Comforter” or “Counselor” (as found in John 14:16, 26; 15:26; and 16:7) is parakletos. This form of the word is unquestionably passive and properly means “one called to the side of another”; the word carries a secondary notion concerning the purpose of the calling alongside: to counsel or support the one who needs it. This Counselor, or Paraclete, is God the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Trinity who has been “called to our side.” He is a personal being, and He indwells every believer.

…….

Jesus called the Spirit “another Comforter”—another of the same kind. The Spirit of God is not different from the Son of God in essence, for both are God.

During the Old Testament age, the Spirit of God would come on people and then leave them. God’s Spirit departed from King Saul (1 Samuel 16:14; 18:12). David, when confessing his sin, asked that the Spirit not be taken from him (Psalm 51:11). But when the Spirit was given at Pentecost, He came to God’s people to remain with them forever. We may grieve the Holy Spirit, but He will not leave us. As Jesus said in Matthew 28:20, “Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” How is He with us when He is in heaven, seated at the right hand of the Father? He is with us by His Spirit (the Helper—the Parakletos).

To have the Holy Spirit as our Paraclete is to have God Himself indwelling us as believers. The Spirit teaches us the Word and guides us into truth. He reminds us of what Jesus has taught so that we can depend on His Word in the difficult times of life. The Spirit works in us to give us His peace (John 14:27), His love (John 15:9–10), and His joy (John 15:11). He comforts our hearts and minds in a troubled world. The power of the indwelling Paraclete gives us the ability to live by the Spirit and “not gratify the desires of the sinful flesh” (Galatians 5:16). The Spirit can then produce His fruit in our lives (Galatians 5:22–23) to the glory of God the Father."

We're sealed by the Holy Spirit until the end!

Not only does the Holy Spirit dwell within us and seal us upon the moment of our belief (Ephesians 1:13, 2 Corinthians 1:22) in the good news of the gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1-8), but it also teaches us all things concerning Him and can also be grieved! (Ephesians 4:30) If the Holy Spirit of God Himself can be grieved while living in and with us joined together into one spirit and observing everything we desires, think, feel, say and do, it should go as a logical deduction that we are not completely made perfect the moment of our belief, but we are refined through this life as our Father chastises us because He loves us. (Hebrews 12:6)

We are but clay in His hands, and we are slowly molded and groomed and fired into finish in every aspects of our being.

“For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God” (Deuteronomy 4:24; also, Hebrews 12:29).

The fire of God is a method of judgment unto purity, until slowly we begin to be able to reflect His image.

John the baptist introduced Jesus to the world as the lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world, and that he(John) baptized them with water, but Jesus would baptize with Spirit and Fire! (John 1:29, Matthew 3:11)

God's chastisement is that Holy Spirit Fire baptizing us and purifying us in judgment of our hearts, so don't be afraid or worried if you are not sure if you have the Holy Spirit in you because you didnt take part in some manmade tradition of the past, look to our Holy Lord, our savior, who calls us and sanctifies us according to His will, and don't attribute the evils of this world that are brought about by our own desires and enticements to our Holy Father, who even after our own foolishness in sin, loves us and fixes our mistakes and teaches us a valuable lesson of this life until we grow more as one in Him.

Take care.

Yours truly,

Jeremiah Owen
